Hello!

Back for my final project for October!

With Christmas approaching FAST, and the end of the school year nearly over. It's time to start thinking of Teachers Gifts! ( and lots of other stuff )

This year I have made the decision to make ( with the help of my DD ) our Teacher's gifts this year!
My first gift is for DD's Art Teacher. Using the Prima Marketing Coffee Break 6x6 Paper Pad             ( LOVE this paper YUMMY ) I made a little gift bag and matching card!
This was such a fun and FAST little project to make, you could make a couple at a time using the different papers from the paper pad!

Using the Prima Marketing Coffee Break 6x6 Paper Pad and a flower punch I have, I made my own flower. To give it the 3D look, I used a paint brush handle and curled the edges, inked and added a little colour using my water colours!

Love making flowers.

Well thats all from me this month! I hope you enjoyed looking at my projects as much as I love making them!

Bye for now ... Connie xxx

Tinby Metallic Melts - Tutorial.

Hi everyone!

How is your weekend going? I thought I would put back and show you a step by step tutorial on way you can use your Tinby Metallic Melts.

Wooden Stamp with VersaMark clear Ink

Tip - Heat from underneath your project. I found the melts would blow away from the heat gun

Clear Stamp using Versa Colour Ink Pink

Stencil using Versa Colour Ink Sage

Bonus Technique

I hope this helped some of you guys with some ideas on how to use your Tinby Metallic Melts!
They are really heaps of fun once you get started.

If you have any question on my little tutorial please leave a comment!

Hi Everyone!

Who has been enjoying this AWESOME weather? ... ME :)

I had such a great and busy weekend. Monday and I am buggered. I am ready for a nana nap!

It is PROJECT LIFE time. I have to admit I am very new to Project Life. I only started playing with  the idea of Project Life in April this year. And to be honest to start off with i found it really hard using the smaller cards. I just wanted to keep adding all my pretties. :)

I have always loved the look of using a larger photo in my Project Life. So I opened up my image in Photo Shop and sized to a 6in x 12in. I then cropped the top (head) at a 4x6 and printed using my Epson Picture Mate. Then went back to the 6in x 12in photo and cropped the middle at a 4x6, and repeated for the bottom (legs).
After I had finished printing I cut the middle photo to make 2 3x4 photos, done! Very easy.
I am also not a big fan of my own hand writing and I wanted to do a little journaling about the day, so again using Photo Shop I opened a blank 3x4in page, selected my font and done my journaling. Using my Picture Mate (i love my Picture Mate) I printed on one of the Project Life journaling cards! Awesome!

So here goes .....

and the details....

I will be back with a 12 x 12 layout in a few days! Can't wait to show you what I have done!

Bye for now .... Connie xxx

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all have had a wonderful week! :)

I've had a great week! First I am so in love with all my goodies from Deer and Fawn! My hands (and finding time) just can't keep up with all the awesome things I can and want to make!
But first I must share my BIG news for the week! ....... I brought a Silhouette Cameo!!!
So excited! I have been having heaps of fun learning and playing with that also. You might even see a little something on my projects this week ;)

This week I decided to play with the sunning Journaling Cards from Pretty Little Studio - Neapolitan - Rainbow Sprinkles.
Awesome colours, and I just loved the ice creams ... yummy!
I knew I had the perfect images of my daughter, Jorja when she was only 18 months old!
I seem to be scrapping a whole heap of images from years ago lately, I think it because my kids are older, and I am finding it so hard to pin them down for a photo. Pains in the you know where!
Most of the time I have to pay them! ... Yes, you heard right.
Does anyone else have the same trouble with your kids? Would love to hear your stories.

Here goes!

I decided to cut down the Pretty Little Studio 4x6 Journaling cards (here), because I really wanted to use them on a 12 x 12 layout. Let me tell you it was so hard cutting those beautiful cards up, I sat on it for a few days before I made the plunge. But when I finished it was just how I pictured it my mind. I am so happy with it.

When I finished, I really had the urge to get MESSY! For the first time in a while I didn't use any paint, ink, Gelatos on a layout. So I decided to make a mixed media tag for fun, and because my desk was too clean!

Well thats all from me! I will be back in a couple of days with a new project! Can't wait to share with you all!

Hello!

Hi, I'm Connie and I am super excited to be the Guest Designer here at Deer and Fawn Designs! for the month of October.
I have been a scrapbooker for nearly 14 years now. My style of scrapbooking has changed over the years. I love looking back at my "OLD" pages to see how much I have grown!

I am also a Professional Photographer! I run my business from my home studio. I specialise in Maternity and Newborn Photography, but shoot Children and Families too! You can view my web site here.

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing you all my creations using the awesome goodies that Debbie posted out to me! I squealed with delight when I opened all my pretties!

Today I am going to share with you guys a layout I done using the Prima Coffee Break 6x6 Paper Pad!
I fell in love with these papers and soon as I laid eyes on them! I just had to play with them first!

This is a image of my Daughter Jorja, when she was 4 years old! ... She is now 8.  It's amazing how fast they grow up! I remember this day like it was yesterday! Backyard Photo Shoot.
Using PhotoShop I edited the image by making it a black and white, but adding a touch of yellow to the image to give it a vintage feel.
The Prima Coffee Break Paper suited this image to a tea.

I will list all the products I used below!

Here goes ......

And the details.......

Paper Flowers
Silver Charm
Heart Pins
Heart/Arrow Paper Clip
