October Guest Designer...
Hello fellow crafters!
Thank you for joining me for my spot as the October Deer and Fawn guest designer! I hope you enjoy my take on the 'About Me' challenge for this month. I thought about this layout for some time and wondered what it was about me that I wanted to share....my family is a big part of my life and we are getting out n about more often and trying to experience our local, beautiful surrounds, so what better to show case one of our latest adventures to the Toolangi State Forest.
Here is my layout;
I started with cutting a background with my Cricut Expressions machine (an oldie but a goodie!) using the Close To My Heart (CTMH) Artbooking cartridge. The paper used here is from the Teresa Collins Hello My Name Is collection.
I also cut the sweet little birds and title from the same versatile Cricut cartridge.
I also used the Kaisercraft lattice stamp to create the background in Distress inks Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs.
I inked the edges of the pieces with Tim Holtzs distress ink Rusty Hinge before adhering them down.
The embellishments used in this layout include a Manilla luggage tag distressed again with the Rusty Hinge ink with a blending tool.
I used the CTMH Hello Life stamp set - this was a September special and I love it. The use of some Washi tape and raffia on the tag help finish off the embellishments on the page.
Here are some close up shots;
Thankyou and happy crafting!
