An Oldie but a Fave

Hello there Deer & Fawn people, I've decided to share an older layout and I still love it.  I think it's a great idea when you're stuck or lose your mojo to review some of your own favourites and scraplift from them using your newer or more current collections.

So on this wonderful Sunday why not have a look over all your older pages and scraplift one or two just for fun.

Boys Will Be Boys

Hi Scrappy Friends!

It's Satur- YAY!
Which means my turn to share a lil something that I've created this week!

I've been scrapping my boy again, actually both my boys - darling husband features in this one too!
& I set myself a challenge too, NO COLOUR.
I know, what was I thinking???
I am hoping I pulled it off - but you be the judge,
Here's my page.....

Boys Will Be Boys

It's a tad monochromatic, lol, but I love it!
Such a difficult challenge to not use colour!!!
To create this super cool masculine page I've used that incredible Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection,
It's just too easy to scrap the boys with this paper and embellies!

Here's a closer peak....

Love that mini bingo stub ticket and that too cute grey enamel star! Very cool!
I've also used a very light grey mist in the background too - unfortunately it's quite hard to photograph pale grey!
Hopefully you can see it!

Yep, my boys being, well.... Boys! ;)
Have you scrapped your boys lately?
Or maybe you'd like to try my challenge of scrapping with No Colour!
Either way, I hope I've inspired you to go and get crafty!

Thankyou so much for stopping by!
til next time,

Project Life Catch Up with Tam

Happy FriYAY!
I'm back with another Project Life spread......yep I'm determined to catch up!! I've still got a long way to go, but I'm one step closer.  One week closer.
And yep it feels good.....feels good to immerse myself in a week of our lives.....feels good to relive a week that was.....feels good to remind myself of what's important.....feels good to focus on the important aspects of the week......feels good to be reminded of the good that is there in my everyday life.

Here's the left side:

And the right:

And I created a few little flaps using washi tape....... I love that it means I can add in more photos or more journaling......and it's so easy to do!

.....1 more down, only another 15 to go!!  Eeeek!
Baby steps....

So how's your catch up going??
I'd love for you to share it with me.
See you soon.

A little more Project Life

Happy Thursday to you all,

Another crazy week here for me, but thanks to some awesome inspiration from the gorgeous Tammy here last Friday I managed to do a very quick double Page in my Project Life.
I find project life difficult, not just because weeks go so quick and I have to play catch up, but because it's so paired back then my usual scrapping.

These 2 pages have been like this for months! What helps me keep up a little is I tend to print the photos every few weeks just so I can have the weeks in even if I can't 'dress' them up for ages! Then sometimes when I have some time in between projects I add the 'life' cards. Each time I come back I do a little more, so a few weeks back I thought I should journal, otherwise I would forget the memorable parts.

After last weeks blog by the lovely Tammy, I was inspired to do a little more!! But due to work, and the kids school commitments, I didn't get to do as much as would have liked. I did squeeze in time and with just a few embellies i finished off these pages.....

Not a lot different, just a few little finishing touches, a couple of flairs and some stickers and its completed.

So just remember that even if your behind, you can try and squeeze in a half hour here or there and keep it simple. The pages will be completed and you can move on to the next week....

I hope it inspires you to stick with your projects even when time poor. Cos hey it happens to all of us in our crazy lives.

Till next week, Em. Xx

Louise's Guest DT share - Halloween gift baskets

Hello Deer & Fawn Friends

Today's inspiration share is a little different.

We are not huge followers of Halloween but I enjoy giving my boys
fun new things to do.
So while perusing the local discount store I came across some baskets and halloween goodies.
I decided I'd make a small gift basket for them to give them something
new to play with.

I started with some of my boys favorite things:

straws (not sure why), balloons, a few little treats and anything that makes noise -
the pumpkin heads make a horrible noise when you shake them:
which basically means my kids will love them.

I've put the baskets together and have a few finishing touches to make.

So make sure you come back next Wednesday to check out the finished product and
see some pics of my boys enjoying their Halloween Gift Baskets.

Until next time

This is what it's all about...

Thanks for joining me for my latest guest designer blog post here at D&F.

This is a 12X12 layout that I did some time ago but I thought I’d share it – I love colour….most of my layouts tend to arrive out of the primary colour palette, but I am never shy of adding in more!  Having two boys to scrap often doesn’t lead me to using shades of pinks, purples etc but I tend to find colour in every layout I produce.

The background colours here are applied using gelatos and smudged with a damp baby wipe.  I used a number of embellishments from my stash (every so often I like to challenge myself to use up a lot of the stash I have….a good excuse to then go shopping I think!).  My favourite would have to be the gorgeous hand made arrow from Charms Creations.  Love her embellies!
For more of my work, I’d love if you pop over to my blog at http://myscrappingspace.wordpress.com
