Hello everyone!

Anyway, I am going to try try TRY my so very best to post a Mixed Media project every Monday ...

******* MIXED MEDIA MONDAY *******

I created this background a few weeks ago using some my awesome Dylusions Inks! I am so in LOVE with these sprays, they sit in a special place on my desk, right next to my yummy yummy all time favourite pencils ... drum roll .... PRISMACOLOR! ( the need a drum roll ).
Enough of my craziness ....

I woke up this morning with a girl in my head, a sweet face with blue hair! So I made a coffee, and started to draw. "She" is what happened. No arms and all..... I love her ... "she" is different!

I drew her out using my Stabilo ALL pencil. This is such a cool pencil, it draws on plastic-metal-everything! Deb you need to get these in the shop! I suggest EVERYONE buys one of these pencils! ... They are pretty cent around $3 .....

Using my cheapy Paints, I started to add shadows to her face with Paynes Grey acrylic paint, then my mid-tones using my Delta Creamcoat Paint skin colour and then white for the high lights.
Don't you just love how the "background" colours still show through! ..... I finished her off with some blue hair and a funky pink dress!

I then stamped the edge with a Kaiser Craft background stamp, and coloured in some of the squares with my Fude Ball pen. I continued to "doodle" around the edges. Finishing off with my word "DIFFERENT".

This year as been a whirl wind so far with so many awesome opportunities for me and my creative hobby at the age of 14.

So today I thought I would share a Project Life layout. I love documenting my life every week with Project Life. I only started last year and I love how my style has changed.

Here is Week 9 2015 -

NEW!!! GOODIES!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!

I am in love with our lovely Debbie (boss lady :)) bringing all the AWESOME mixed media products!!
I am so excited, and my bank account has taken a very hard hit, over the last few weeks. I just can't say no.

So today I am going to share with you a really quick Mixed Media page I have done in my art journal.
I love Dina Wakley! I have brought her new Mixed Media book - Art Journal Courage. I already had her first book -Art Journal Freedom, which is a great book if you are starting on your Mixed Media Journey. Her second book - Art Jounal Courage is even better.

So this art page is a lesson from Art Journal Courage.
I used a combination of acrylic paint, Dylusions Ink sprays and stencils to create my background
Messy FUN!

I decided for the next technique, instead of drawing my lady I would trace a lady I printed from Pinterest. This is a great technique for those who are just starting out, and THINK they can't draw! Everyone can draw. I promise.

Using a sheet of carbon paper, I trace around the printed image on a separate piece of watercolour paper, pressing fairly firm. I only traced the important details, don't worry about trying to get every line/mark.

Using my Stabilo ALL pencil, I went over again to give it a "scribble look". I also added her shoulders, neck line and dress details
Stabilo ALL pencil is water-soluble, so you can use a wet thin paint brush and go over the lines, to give it the painterly look!
I took my watercolour pencils - any brand will work, and added some colour to her hair, face and dress.
Fussy cut her out and glued her down on my background.
To help my lady to become apart of my page, I drew around the edges with my Stabilo ALL pencil and a wet paint brush. I also added a little more aqua and some grey paint. All I had to do now is add me journalling and I am done!

Don't you just love her!

DIY Tags

Hi everyone Lydia here to share 3 tags I made and embellished with the beautiful KaiserCraft collection 'All That Glitter'.

I didn't have any tags in my stash so I jumped on Pinterest to find a tag printable, but instead of printing them I traced them and cut them out on a cheap canvas pad paper from Kmart.

I then got my watercolours out and did some ombré effects on them to co-ordinate with the  'All That Glitter' collection embellishment pack. I also used some bits and pieces of gold from my study also.

And here are some close ups of the finished product.

I love how these simple and easy tags turned out.

Happy Life

Hey everyone Lydia here sharing a 12x12 layout using the beautiful new KaiserCraft Sparkle! and All That Glitter.

I used all of the new Kaiser collection except the black Thickers, enamel dots and tiny word stickers.

I really like how it come together. this collection has all of my favorite colors so that is a bonus.

These very cute butterflies are from the All That Glitter Collectables and I used magic mount foam to give them and the page a bit on dimension.

for my layers I used a piece of paper from the All That Glitter 6x6 paper pad and I used 2 of the 6x4 cards from the Sparkle! Captured Moments Cards.

I hope you all have a great day.
