Long Weekend!

Here in Victoria, we had our Labor Day long weekend!

This was the weekend my hubby Mark ( <3 you to bits xxx ), fixed up an old pine dining table for my craft room!! And it looks awesome! ... I am so happy in my new space, I have heaps more desk space, which is what I have really needed.

Sorry, iPhone photos :)

So this is why I am late AGAIN this week!
So I decided to alter one of the many old books I have laying around! Every time I hit a vintage/op shop, I always come home with old books.
I was inspired by one of Maggie Holmes online classes. I love everything Maggie!

Using all the yummy Pretty Little Studio product and some other bits I had laying around, I have started my book. I haven't added my photos yet due to running out of paper for my Picture Mate. As I add more pages I will share the images I put in.

Black and Yellow Layout

Hi everyone, Kirsty here and I'm excited to finally share with you my newest layout using the gorgeous Kaisercraft Captured Memories - Let it Shine Pocket Life cards in both 3x4 Cards and 4x6 Cards! This collection also comes with the Collectables which you can find in the Deer and Fawn online shop!

As soon as I saw the colours, I knew exactly what photos I wanted to use for this layout! Every year we do a Christmas Card photo which we send out to family and friends, and I spend months and month deciding on a colour theme, then scout around for the perfect dresses for my girls and shirts for my boys! For 2013 the colour theme was Black and Yellow!

My left hand side - I like to layer my photos on 4x6 cards, just to give them some extra depth which you can see on the top left photo.
* journalling will be added later!

Another great way to use the 3x4 cards, to to layer them under a cut out card which I did on the 2013 card!

Sometimes I want to keep my layout clean looking but also don't want it looking plain, so by added a black doily behind my photo, I'm adding more to it than if I was just adding the photo to the card.

I love adding the sparkles of gold from the Heidi Swapp Glitter Word Stickers, they are just devine and add the perfect touch to my layouts!

I found that this collection of cards had some of my favourite sayings that I've seen in a collection before so I've tried to add as many as I could in my layout!

Those little smiley faces were certainly popular in our house, all the kids loved them and laughed every time they saw them on my layout!
*journalling will be added later!

Another element from the Collectables collection, one of my favourite sayings!

And one more look at my layout, I have to say I do love it and it was such a great one to design!

Well thats it for me, I hope you have been inspired to get creating!

Flower - 6x8 Layout

Morning everyone, I am back with a post this week as last week I was on holidays at the beautiful beach.

So this is just a very quick 6x8 layout I made last night using one of my spare photos from the week of my holiday.

I used some more wonderful goodies from the Desktop Project Life collection which you can get in the Deer & Fawn store here.

I am really loving sequins at the moment especially these Studio Calico Gold sequins.

I am also loving vellum. I just use cheap A4 vellum from my local cheapy shop. I love that the new Project Life collections are coming out with 6x6 paper pads but also chipboard stickers. I just love them and the quantity is great, I have used alot and still have so many left. You can find these stickers in the Deer & Fawn store here.

So I hope you liked my quick layout, and if you have any questions just leave them in the commets.

Have a great day.

Naughty! ...

Sorry everyone, I am a WHOLE day late!

I have had some personal problems come ahead since my last post, so this one will be short and sweet!

I put together this 8.5 x 11 inch layout late last night! I haven't scrap this size format for a real long time, it was fun to challenge myself a little.

Using the new Dear Lizzy line - Serendipity - Which I LOVE!

I also whipped up a quick tutorial on how I done the circles and use my Gelatos.

DETAILS

Ok .... So I am still trying to get this video thing done right! .... I am finding I feel like a idiot talking to no one when I am filming! ... LOL It feels very strange. I just need to relax a little and just go with the flow and be myself! Heaps easier to say than do! ....

I would really love some feedback on my tutorials, So I can improve and also to see if you guys want to to keep doing them!

Thanks :)
